Writing doesn’t have to be lonely.
I am the type of writer who is always craving community. Let’s be honest–I need accountability. I’m a mom with a full-time day job and ADHD. There’s a lot to balance! When I was a new writer, I found that community on social media through now-defunct challenges like NaNoWrimo and mentorship programs like PitchWars. But communities like those don’t exist any more. The internet has changed, and not for the better.
The Gentle Writing Club began on a whim. I’d been struggling to finish a manuscript, and at first, it was a way to keep myself accountable. Our first cohort, in the winter of 2026, was tiny. But we found magic in our time together, and I can’t wait to see what sort of connections we form in future cohorts!
The rules are simple: join the community, set a goal for yourself, and stay accountable. Cohorts run in 4-6 week sessions, but you retain access to the community for as long as you’d like!
