Where did the summer go? August was a really busy month, as we settled into our new house and prepared for the school year (first grade for my daughter, and my 8th year of teaching for me!). August always goes by too quickly, and this year was no exception. But I have to admit, as much as I love summer vacation, I also love the start of a new school year. It’s always a chance to try again, to do better. In a lot of ways, it’s a lot like starting a new novel–there’s so much energy in a blank page. In potential. I thought about this a lot as I spent a few weeks this month working on a new (non-mystery) project. But don’t worry – I’m still working on Edie and Gil! I’m currently finishing up a round of revisions for A Poisonous Silence. I honestly can’t wait to share this book with you – I think it might be even more fun than A Deadly Endeavor!
News – Audiobook Sale & Fall for the Book!
Speaking of A Deadly Endeavor, I have a few things I’d like to share with you! First – from now through September 23, you can snag the audiobook for 60% off by clicking this link! The narrator, Nancy Peterson, is fantastic. It’s really a steal!
Next, for those of you in Northern VA, I’m delighted to share that I’ll be featured alongside of Katharine Schellman, the author of the Lily Adler Mysteries and the Nightingale Mysteries, on October 12 as part of the Fall for the Book festival! Our panel is called Murder in the Jazz Age, and it’s sure to be a blast. You can learn more (and see the rest of the day’s programming) here.
That’s all I have for you this month – but hopefully I’ll get to share something very gorgeous and COVER SHAPED with you soon!
